How it works
Code 128 encodes any letters, numbers and symbols, automatically switching to a compact numeric mode for digit runs, ideal for SKUs, asset tags and shipping labels. EAN-13 is the 13-digit retail barcode found on consumer products; enter 12 digits and the final check digit is calculated for you.
The barcode is drawn as a crisp vector (SVG) and can be exported as a PNG raster too. A built-in checksum is added so scanners can verify the read.
Both downloads include the blank margin (quiet zone) scanners need on each side: at least 11 bar widths on the left and 7 on the right for EAN-13, and 10 on each side for Code 128. Keep that margin free of text and graphics when you place the barcode.
Everything is generated in your browser, your data is never uploaded.

Do I need to add the EAN-13 check digit?
No. Enter the first 12 digits and the final check digit is calculated and appended automatically. If you paste a full 13-digit code it is verified instead.
