How it works

Business (working) days are Monday through Friday. Counting is inclusive of both the start and end dates, and any holidays you list are skipped on top of weekends, useful for delivery estimates, payment terms, and project deadlines.

Switch to “add business days” to find the date that lands a set number of working days after (or before) your start. Everything runs locally in your browser.

What this does

A business days calculator counts working days (Monday–Friday) between two dates, or adds a number of working days to a date, skipping weekends and any holidays you list.

How to use it

  1. Choose count between dates or add business days.
  2. Enter the dates or the number of days.
  3. List any holidays, one per line.
  4. Read the working-day result.

Understanding your result

Only weekends are removed automatically; public holidays vary by country and region, so the count is only correct once you list the holidays that apply to you. Whether the start date itself is included depends on your convention, so confirm that before using the figure for a contractual, billing, or shipping deadline.

Example

Counting from a Monday to the following Monday gives 6 business days, because both end dates are included; leave out the start date and it is 5.
