    How it works

Dice notation is written NdS: roll N dice with S sides each, plus optional modifiers. A missing count means one die, so d20 equals 1d20.

Advantage and disadvantage roll the d20 twice and keep the higher or lower die; the other dice and the modifier are rolled once, as the d20-system rules describe. Without a d20 in the expression, the mode has no effect.

The last 20 rolls are listed for this session only. They are kept in the page, never saved, and vanish when you leave or reload.

Every die is rolled independently with your browser's cryptographically secure generator. Nothing is sent anywhere, rolls happen entirely in your browser.

    What this does

An RPG dice roller rolls any dice expression like 2d6+3 or 4d6 and shows the total and every individual die, with optional advantage or disadvantage.

    How to use it

    1. Type a dice expression.
    2. Use the count d sides + modifier form.
    3. Roll to see the total.
    4. Check the per-die breakdown and this session’s roll history.

    Understanding your result

Every die is drawn independently from a cryptographically secure source, so each roll is genuinely fair and the previous result has no bearing on the next, there is no streak that is due to break. Read the individual dice as well as the total, since many systems care about each die (advantage, exploding dice, matched pairs) rather than just the sum.

    Example

2d6+3 rolls two six-sided dice and adds 3, for a result of 5 to 15.

    Frequently asked questions

What dice notation can I use?

Standard notation such as 2d6, 1d20+5, or 3d8-2, a count, the letter d, the number of sides, and an optional modifier.

    Are the rolls truly random?

They use your browser’s cryptographically secure random generator, so each roll is fair and unpredictable.

    How does advantage work here?

Only the d20 is rolled twice: the higher die is kept with advantage and the lower with disadvantage, while any other dice and the modifier are rolled once. With no d20 in the expression, the mode has no effect.

    Is anything stored?

No. Rolls happen entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded or saved. The roll history lists your last 20 rolls for this visit only and disappears when you leave or reload the page.
