Daylight saving changes

-

How it works

The tool scans the whole year for the chosen zone and reports every moment its UTC offset changes, pinpointing each daylight-saving transition down to the minute, along with the exact local time the clocks jump and the offset before and after.

Many zones never change their clocks and will show no transitions. All data comes from your browser's time-zone database and is computed locally, so a recent rule change shows up only once your device has the update. For example, British Columbia, Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Manitoba stop changing their clocks after 2026 (IANA time-zone database releases 2026b to 2026e); a device with older data still shows a fall-back on 1 November 2026, and the tool warns you when it detects that.

What this does

A DST lookup shows the daylight-saving clock changes for any time zone and year, the exact date and local time the clocks spring forward or fall back, and the offset before and after.

How to use it

  1. Pick a time zone.
  2. Choose a year.
  3. Read the spring-forward and fall-back dates.
  4. See the offset before and after each change.

Example

In US Eastern time, clocks spring forward an hour in March and fall back an hour in November.

Frequently asked questions

Why do some zones show no changes?

Many regions don’t observe daylight saving at all, so their offset never changes during the year and no transitions are listed.

How accurate are the times?

Each transition is found down to the minute by scanning the year in your browser’s time-zone database, so it reflects the official rules that database carries. A very recent rule change appears only after your device updates: British Columbia, Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Manitoba end clock changes after 2026 (IANA releases 2026b–2026e), and the tool warns you if your device still has the older rules for those zones.

Is my data stored?

No. Everything is calculated locally in your browser.
